I strive to provide a safe and inclusive space to empower those seeking to develop a healthier, more fulfilling relationship with their mental health, sexuality and identity.
I believe it is through intentional and mindful steps, that we can start to make sense of this chaotic journey that we’ve all been thrown into and allow ourselves to slow down and ask “what feels most genuine to me?”

Individual therapy, sometimes called “psychotherapy or counseling” is a joint process between a trained therapist and a person in therapy to help overcome obstacles to their mental and/or emotional well-being. It can increase positive feelings, such as compassion, self-worth, and self-esteem. Sex therapy is a form of counseling focused on helping individuals and couples with sexual concerns, including, but not limited to topics of sexual function and dysfunction; sexual pleasure; sexual variation; performance anxiety, sexuality and disability; sexuality and chronic illness; sexual development across the lifespan; sexual abuse, assault, and coercion; sexual orientation; gender identity, and how those topics play a role in affecting our overall mental health.
Some choose to attend sessions alone; others attend with their partner(s). Session frequency and length usually depend on the client and what they are choosing to work on. It’s normal for clients to feel anxious when seeing a sex therapist, especially for the first time.
The topic of sex is traditionally seen as “taboo”, even for those that are currently engaged in or had previously gone to therapy, it is a subject that is often overlooked because it elicits a feeling of “I can’t talk about that”. However, most sex therapists recognize this and try to make their clients feel comfortable. The sessions often start with questions about the client’s history and sexual background, sex education, beliefs about sex, and the client’s goals for therapy.
